FREE EVENT

Founded by Chef Johnny Hernandez, this three-day celebration in the little village by the River Walk brings German, Czech, Polish, Alsatian, and other European traditions to life, celebrating San Antonio’s unique heritage and confluence of cultures with live music, dancing, keg tapping, bier stein–hoisting contests, artisan vendors, kids’ crafts, family fun and more.
It’s all part of Chef Johnny’s commitment to ongoing arts, cultural and culinary programing year-round in Historic La Villita!

Festival Highlights

  • Opening Ceremony Friday afternoon with San Antonio Mayor Gina Ortiz Jones and Blažena Galiová, mayor of Šardice, Czech Republic

  • Hands-on crafts, cookies, films, and fun in the Cos House in La Villita on Saturday, featuring Polish, Czech, and German activities for all ages
